General Summary:

The Director for the Addiction Counselor Education Program (ACEP) within the Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences (MCNHS) is responsible for the overall directorship of the Virtual Program of the College’s Addiction Counselor Education Program (ACEP). The Director will develop and design new courses for the program, complete required abstract submission to provide continuing education hours for licensed alcohol/chemical dependency treatment professionals (LADCs), and recruit, select and evaluate ACEProgram Faculty. The Director will also be responsible for the recruitment, screening and selection of students for admission to the ACEProgram in collaboration with the ACEP Student Advisor, provide supervision to the Faculty coordinating the Capstone Practicum experience, and contracts with agencies, treatment facilities and programs to maintain a strong collaborative role in the Treatment community.

The Director will also work with and recommend to the Dean of MCNHS, marketing and recruitment strategies, current and future projections for the program; and will be responsible for the implementation of such strategies. The Director will consult regularly with the Senior Associate Dean of the Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Human Services, addiction, psychology, or a related field in required. A minimum of seven years of teaching experience in the field of Substance Use Disorders treatment services is required.

Candidate will hold and maintain a LADC I license. Experience providing clinical supervision experience is required. Extensive knowledge of the field of Substance Use Disorders and related Health issues is required. Knowledge of treatment service systems and providers is required. Previous experience in course and program development in the field of Substance Use Disorders treatment services is required.
