Job Description

We are pursuing Consumer Products and Live Experiences because we believe it will drive meaningful show awareness and conversation with more tangible, curated ways to interact with our most popular content IRL and drive long-term value. We want merchandise and live experiences to help promote our titles and build them into title brands, or franchises, so they become part of the zeitgeist for longer periods of time.
As the Marketing Director for Live Experiences, you will build and lead our marketing and sales team, develop our overall marketing and sales strategy inclusive of creatively leading campaigns, managing outside agencies as well as coordinating internally with key crossfunctional partners with the goal of engaging audiences and driving ticket sales for our global Live Experiences portfolio.
What You Will Do
  • Integrate our overall marketing strategy into production “ways of working” with all partners.
  • Direct our Omni-channel marketing campaigns for touring and location-based experiences
  • Build a nimble, effective marketing vertical with an emphasis on results and creative excellence.
  • Develop and lead the overall marketing & sales strategy for Live Experiences.
  • Act as a senior thought partner supporting respective functional leaders (e.g. title marketing leads, consumer products, publishing) on strategy, consumer insights, and execution. Provoke and initiate project ideas and bring to the most appropriate teams to ideate and execute.
  • Ensure live experience campaigns align with our communications and Title PR efforts.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across consumer products, brand partnerships, partner marketing, creative marketing and regional marketing teams to maximize the impact of our strategies and our location-based entertainment portfolio.
  • Promote and foster a mindset of continuous innovation for internal teams and external partners.
  • Develop a 365 days a year, always on vision and 5-year strategy for sales and marketing across our global portfolio of experiences, with milestones towards building long-term value and impact.
What We Need From You
  • Global experience, ideally across multiple markets.
  • Experience managing and developing an impactful team in an environment that embraces individual momentum.
  • Demonstrated 15+ years of marketing experience in the location based entertainment industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of creative marketing, ticketing, distribution, and publishing.
  • Practiced at utilizing data insights to inform campaign strategy.
  • Fluency in managing large-scale media budgets responsibly and flexibly for a range of activations.
  • Proven track record of developing and directing innovative omnichannel sales campaigns.
  • Excellent knowledge of current and future marketing trends in our industry.
  • Strong understanding of brand and how to authentically integrate into campaigns.
  • Expert knowledge of marketing & sales strategy for both permanent and touring experiences.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.
The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $380,000 - $1,300,000.
