Job Description

TechPride has an immediate opening for a Director with at least 15+ years relevant professional experience in management consulting, business development, and technical project management within the Federal government marketplace. The successful candidate will have experience implementing enterprise technology solutions in a Federal environment and working closely with Government clients.


Business Development

  • Leads capture efforts for complex and technical bids;
  • Develops market and target insights in areas such as requirements definition, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and the competitive landscape;
  • Develops and tracks business development metrics, and periodically present them to senior leadership;
  • Develops and maintains solid business relationships with customers, competitors, and existing/potential teammates to foster teaming opportunities;
  • Manages and coordinates market analysis, competitor analysis, gap analysis, and teaming activities;
  • Collaborates with other senior leaders to develop and lead winning proposals for TechPride’s top priority opportunities.
  • Drives competitive market assessments, client assessments, and strategic planning efforts in support of expanding client-based opportunity portfolios and pipeline;
  • Identifies ways to enhance or streamline the tools, templates, systems, and processes associated with performing business development activities across the company;


Client Service Delivery

  • Maps complex business processes and communicates solutions to the client;
  • Provides thought leadership and innovation to provide recommendations on emerging technologies or optimization/efficiencies across architecture, implementation, hosting, etc.
  • Identifies strategies for automating and implementing efficient work management processes;
  • Manages sub-contractors;
  • Leads client presentations and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and identify and manage project interdependencies
  • Oversees development of project status briefings and reports;
  • Uses enterprise project management information systems to support ongoing project management efforts;
  • Interacts with both business and technical stakeholders of clients to provide a sound technical solution
  • Manages complex engagements and interface with senior level management internally as well as with clients
  • Drives development and maintenance of project artifacts, including charters, analysis of alternatives, communications action plans, risk management plans, agendas, minutes, and correspondence;
  • Directs development and oversees delivery of solutions and deliverables to meet or exceed contractual requirements;
  • Leads and facilitates senior client meetings and exercises;


Contract Management

  • Maintains strong relationship with Federal decision makers, Federal Program/Project Managers, Contracting Officers, and Contracting Officer's Representatives;
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements and clauses.
  • Manages engagement economics to include spend plans, AR, subcontractor agreements, and contract documentation;
  • Manages production of monthly contractual deliverables and invoices, and ensures timely submission;


Personnel and Team Development

  • Identifies training opportunities and appropriate certifications for staff to pursue.
  • Develops and mentors personnel to ensure career aspirations are understood;
  • Assists with the career development of subordinates;
  • Leads account staffing and maintains a team that can deliver to client requirements;


Requirements Include

  • PMP or other related industry certifications;
  • DHS, GSA, ICE, U.S. Coast Guard experience desired;
  • MBA or Master's degree in technical field is preferred;
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively independently and in large team settings to include close collaboration with program managers;
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project;
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;
  • Management consulting experience required, with at least 10 years in project management;
  • Clearance: Clearable to DoD Secret or above
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify, and lead capture efforts for new business opportunities resulting in $5M+ annually;
  • Experience with building and leveraging client relationships toward creating new business;
  • Experience leading proposal teams in support of responses to large, complex federal solicitations, i.e. $10M+
  • Experience in building and managing senior client relationships;
  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, computer science, information systems, or a related field (Bachelor of Science preferred);
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple IT disciplines, including application, data, and infrastructure architecture
  • Experience developing and implementing management consulting methodologies (processes, best practices, tools, and templates);
  • “Big 4” experience desired
  • Proven ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven process;
  • Experience with meeting account lead generation, sales, revenue, and profitability goals;
  • Capability to successfully recruit, staff, train, and mentor employees and build high-performing teams
  • Competency in Agile, ITIL, SDLC, SELC and CMMI principles;
