Job Description
We Are Hiring:
  • Schedule: 8-hour day shift, Monday-Friday
  • Department: Communications
  • Location: Remote – Being located in Austin, Chicago, St. Louis, or other Ascension locations is preferred
What You Will Do:
As Director, Innovation Communications, you will lead communications programs to support Ascension’s technology, digital, and data teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops, oversees and facilitates implementation of communication strategies and activities for internal and external audiences that align with organizational goals.
  • Serve as communications lead for associates, frontline caregiver and provider outreach and engagement focused on technology product adoption and interpreting data analysis.
  • Engage outside consultants and agencies as needed, and manage associated budget.
  • Combine strategic thinking and big-picture perspective with attention to detail, clarity and focus.
  • Provide collaborative, strategic communications counsel and support to leaders in proactively engaging associates in the strategy, technology adoption and culture change.
  • Develop creative approaches to engage audiences, including change and relationship management, as well as creative, strategic content that supports proactive storytelling.
  • Lead stewardship of the Ascension brand within the organization and with external audiences in the market and service area.
  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the team, managing people, programs and projects.
  • Proactively identify trends, risks, challenges and solutions, and adjust strategies to drive desired outcomes.
What You Will Need:
Education:
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
Work Experience:
  • 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
  • 10 years of experience preferred.
  • 5 years of experience required.
  • 2 years of leadership or management experience required.
