Summary


The Opportunity


Hyatt seeks an experienced leader for the role of Director of Distribution Operations, a key member of Hyatt’s Global Distribution organization. This leader will work closely with the VP, of Global Distribution as well as Distribution Services, Global Property Services, global and regional leaders in sales and revenue management, as well as other key internal and external stakeholders.


This position will be the primary driver of business development through technology connectivity and will represent the Global Distribution function through enterprise-wide systems transformations. The director will lead commercial relationships with external connectivity partners and will ensure distribution resources are fully activated within hotel support programs. In addition, this leader will oversee distribution operations including leading the team in delivering inventory compliance tools and activation, as well as data stewardship and analytics.

The Role


Responsibilities include oversight of distribution connectivity for business development, hotel support for distribution channels, engagement with external technology partners, participation, and functional leadership. The role is a team leader with direct reports leading rate integrity and analytics programs.


  • Oversee global/regional pipeline of business development opportunities. Lead prioritization efforts and support timely delivery of connectivity outcomes. Bridge technical and business requirements across teams. Serve as a consultative resource for distribution leaders globally for business development solutions.
  • Opportunities to participate in Hyatt’s Diversity & Inclusion activities.
  • Develop resources and tools to maintain key distribution programs, such as the Hyatt Preferred Partner Program, including technical requirements and resources for partner evaluation.
  • Serve as primary business lead for key transformation efforts on major internal systems within the reservations, revenue management, and distribution functions.
  • Serve as liaison to key internal partners including teams responsible for commission payments, data stewardship, distribution services, global property services, and others as assigned.
  • Coordinate with the Hyatt Global Connectivity team and Distribution Services team to establish tools needed for hotel operational support.
  • Provide guidance for the Rate Integrity team including support for external vendor relationships, maintenance of program guidelines, and stakeholder communications.
  • Oversee Distribution Analytics function including the development of performance reporting, dashboards, and strategic analyses as requested.
  • Special initiatives and cross-functional projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Represent Hyatt in commercial engagements with external connectivity partners seeking to optimize terms where applicable and maintain alignment across business and technical teams.


Qualifications


Experience Required:


  • 7+ years of experience in lodging or travel distribution, technology, product management, strategy, or related function


Experience Preferred:


  • Experience with lodging distribution systems, reservations and revenue management systems, channel partners, technology, and operations management
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
