Summary
The Crisis Management & Business Continuity Planning position, develops and manages the program’s policies, plans and procedures as they relate to the Crisis Resiliency lifecycle, including global emergency and crisis response and business continuity.
Responsibilities
  • This role is responsible for emergency plan design, implementation and maintenance across Fanatics Corporate and Regional structures and liaises with pertinent stakeholders to incorporate regionalized emergency management and business continuity plans from the centralized Emergency Management Plans, Crisis & Emergency Playbooks, and Business Continuity Plans. This role oversees and participates in the development and presentation of organization-wide training, policy and awareness programs regarding emergency and crisis management procedures and incident reporting. The position is responsible for ensuring leadership enterprise-wide understands their responsibilities, resources, and procedures necessary to implement and have at the ready before, during, and after a crisis. This task is accomplished through training as well as being available as a subject matter expert resource to these leaders whenever needed. The role provides mastery level subject matter expertise, evaluates content and makes recommendations about incorporating all facets of emergency management and business continuity to include management and training at the regional levels, as well as innovative trainings for employees.
Core Duties
  • Influencing and driving senior leadership to develop and implement plans enterprise-wide.
  • Leading and coordinating periodic test exercises of the approved plans, in partnership with necessary stakeholders.
  • Develop sophisticated scenarios and execute tabletop exercises and working sessions to develop corporate capabilities to respond to incidents expeditiously.
  • Providing 24x7 support for any emergency which may require activation of all or part of business continuity plans. Acting as primary point of contact for senior management and facilitating responses of multi-disciplinary teams during significant disruption events.
  • Driving BCP strategy and influencing and representing the function to Fanatics’ Board, Executive Leadership Team, clients, prospects and regulators.
  • Serve as an advisor to the lines of business and Executive Team on business continuity planning and incident and crisis response.
  • Building and maintaining partnerships with outside business continuity professional organizations and local/regional emergency response groups that participate in business continuity, disaster recovery, and emergency management.
  • Working with Fanatics Collectibles, Commerce, and Betting & Gaming leaders to provide training across globally distributed critical business units.
  • Liaise with public safety to ensure community relations and training. Lead global contracts with security vendors and act as a single point of contact for global vendor leads.
  • Coordinate emergency response both internally with Fanatics and externally with outside responders and security operations. Coordinate with local authorities regarding local risk assessments and current data and have the ability and discretion to report accordingly to leadership.
  • Understand and apply internal policies, standards, procedures, laws and regulations, and industry standard methodologies with respect to business continuity and incidents and crisis response.
  • Leading business enterprise crisis management and preparing business impact assessments in conjunction with our Information Security and Technology teams.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key program stakeholders and cross-functional partners to drive business strategies, build resilient business processes, determine impact on recovery strategies.
  • Provide timely mentor, feedback, and direction to employees to help them develop their capabilities and enable them to perform to their potential.
  • Lead all aspects of the development of policies, standards, emergency response playbooks and promote risk management, a culture of safety and continuity of operations.
  • Developing reports, dashboards, and other similar mechanisms to track and report on health of the program.
  • Leading a program for business continuity and enterprise crisis response strategy and planning, including the advancement of program maturity and exercise strategy for global operations.
  • Analyzing business continuity data to identify major gaps and opportunities for better operational resilience strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to research and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, exemplifying a self-starter attitude.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and indirect influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence of individuals at various levels.
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically.
  • 15 years of related work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of related work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem solving.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in leading and developing programs in the manufacturing and supply chain sector.
  • Homeland Security or Department of State background in addition to private sector experience.
The salary range for this position is $175,000 to $230,000 , which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
