How you’ll make an impact:

As the Director, Corporate Physical Security at SiriusXM, your primary responsibilities will be to develop a comprehensive and effective security program to ensure the physical safety of all employees, visitors, customers, and vendors across our workplaces. You will also be entrusted with identifying potential risks and threats and implementing measures to mitigate them.

What you’ll do:

Strategy and Policy Development:

  • Create and implement security policies and standards that adhere to industry best practices and legal requirements.
  • Identify, prioritize, develop, and implement physical security measures, emergency preparedness and response plans, travel security protocols, protective intelligence strategies, and investigations.
  • Develop and communicate the overall strategy for corporate physical security, aligning it with SiriusXM's business objectives.

Auditing and Inspection:

  • Establish auditing and inspection protocols to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps.
  • Conduct comprehensive quality checks of all security services.

Emergency Preparedness and Response:

  • Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and response plans and protocols for various situations.
  • Oversee security operations and logistics for large-scale corporate events and high-profile visits.

Security Systems and Equipment:

  • Assess systems, alarms, and other physical security measures for effectiveness.
  • Maintain security equipment such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems.

Training and Education:

  • Trains and supervises other security personnel to ensure they are aware of company policies and procedures regarding security measures.
  • Design and deliver company education programs on security policies and topics for management and employees.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Develop security-related standards and policies (visitor management, ID/access credentials, mail and package screening, etc.).
  • Develop security procedures and training to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Security Risk Management:

  • Lead a comprehensive security risk assessment program.
  • Identify and manage emerging threats.
  • Lead security incident and crisis response to resolution.

Vendor Management:

  • Monitor vendor Service Level Agreements/Key Performance Indicators, capacity, and workflow plans for multiple functional areas.

Communication and Leadership:

  • Successfully manage a large security budget commensurate with the scope and scale of the area of responsibility.
  • Become the trusted security advisor to senior management and leaders across the organization through high-level communication and excellent briefing skills.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple security projects concurrently – establish and track project milestones and deliverables and align key stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in construction security planning, design, and oversight for new and existing construction security projects.

External Engagement:

  • Build and maintain professional relationships both internally and externally, developing a vast network of counterparts in both the public and private sectors.
  • Leads and directs major investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials or agencies.
  • Participate in local, state, and federal working or advisory groups to stay updated on security-related information, directives, and events.

What you’ll need:

The ideal candidate will have a high level of attention to detail, clear and concise communication skills, and the ability to influence others and build relationships with peers and cross-functional teams.

  • 5+ years of experience managing strategic business operations and program plans
  • Current Carry Permit
  • PSP (Physical Security Professional)
  • 10 + years of experience with progressive program management roles or equivalent experience ideally on a corporate or government security team
  • CPP (Certified Protection Professional),
  • Law Enforcement experience highly preferred
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
  • Certification in related security fields such as
    • CPP (Certified Protection Professional),
    • PCI (Professional Certified Investigator),
    • PSP (Physical Security Professional)
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent documented educational hours of course study
  • PCI (Professional Certified Investigator),

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $152,000 to $172,500 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
