DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST


OVERVIEW: Seattle Art Museum is searching for a Digital Marketing Specialist to play a key role in the Marketing & Communications division. The ideal candidate is a savvy digital marketer who is a creative, strategic thinker, and possesses outstanding analytical capabilities. They will help develop and execute multi-channel, integrated marketing plans and strategies to increase awareness and attendance to SAM’s three locations. The candidate will be adept in using CRMs and integrated email marketing platforms to execute, optimize, personalize and segment targeted e-mail campaigns. They should also love digging into data and analyzing trends to maximize digital campaign performance and measure success. The candidate must be able to work effectively across a wide range of internal teams, lead short- and long-term digital marketing projects, and comfortably and quickly adjust to changing priorities and situations.

FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt REPORTS TO: Digital Marketing Manager


COMPENSATION: $23.17-$27.81 hourly pay range; 40 hours per week


BENEFITS: Full time employees are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance/LTD/AD&D. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 403b plan. Employees will also receive ten days of sick leave and ten days of vacation leave every year, twelve paid holidays and one floating holiday throughout the calendar year. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Collaborate with Digital Marketing Manager and content team to develop multi-channel, integrated marketing plans and content strategies.


Responsible for providing actionable insights and recommendations to establish and achieve digital marketing KPIs, as well as channel engagement goals for email marketing (e.x. CTR/Opens web sessions, CVR, etc.)


Collaborate with Digital Marketing Manager to develop end-to-end campaign strategy, design, and activation for dynamic email, drip, and remarketing campaigns.


Own the email-service-provider (ESP) relationship, maximizing the platform, automation opportunities and troubleshooting, acting as SAM’s Prospect 2 resident expert.


Execute email marketing/remarketing and lead-generation campaign list segmentation and integration/optimization with ticketing platforms and CRM to increase personalization and performance.


Manage and coordinate CRM-based email list generation and list hygiene cross-departmentally.


Support the analysis and creation of CRM-based reporting and the integration of multiple data streams.


Research and communicate optimal digital advertising specifications and platform updates to support the creation of efficient and effective digital advertising.


Support the growth of digital marketing channels including email, web, blog, social media, Google, Youtube.


Monitor Google Analytics account and work with the digital marketing team to support analysis and reporting function to optimize marketing strategy and increase effectiveness.


Support SEO initiatives to improve the effectiveness of website and blog.


Manage SEO reporting and process implementation throughout the communications team.


Communicate digital project timelines cross departmentally.


Support the management of digital agency as budgeted to meet digital marketing priorities.


Analyze effectiveness of organic efforts and paid campaigns to help evolve ongoing digital marketing strategy.


Work with departmental tools to organize and share deliverables, including Asana, Canto, Sharepoint, Wordpress, Google drive, Sprout, and SEMRush.


Mentor marketing interns.


Support Marketing & Communications staff as necessary.


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:


BA/BS degree in marketing with a focus on digital marketing or equivalent combination of education, certification/s, and/or experience required.


Three to four years of experience in digital marketing focused on email strategy, campaign development, monitoring, and reporting.


Expert in using a CRM system to personalize, segment, and maximize email as a marketing tool.


Experience using email marketing platforms that integrate with CRM / Ticketing systems (Wordfly, Prospect2, Marketo, ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, etc.)


Experience using paid digital advertising, scheduling, monitoring, and engagement tools including Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Sprout, etc.


Knowledge and understanding of current digital marketing, social media, and email trends and tools.


Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; able to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.


Proficiency using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) and Google Workspace.


Able to work independently and in a team setting with a high level of professionalism.


Able to take initiative, prioritize multiple competing tasks and meet deadlines.


Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail.


Ability to adhere to museum policies and to support management decisions in a positive, professional manner.


ADDITIONAL SKILLS (Not required but a plus):


Experience using Tessitura or similar CRM-system


Experience working with community-centric organizations


Experience working with communities where English may be used as a second language


Experience with email automation


Experience using Google Tag Manager


Familiarity and ability to work with complex Microsoft excel functions


WORKING CONDITIONS:


Exposure: Work areas are primarily inside, in a climate-controlled environment with light background noise. Work is occasionally performed at other indoor and outdoor sites.


PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED FOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Stationary Work: Approximately 80% of time is spent stationary while working at a desk. Balance of time (approximately 20%) is spent moving around the work area. Occasional extended periods of standing may be required when assisting at Museum events.


Communication: Clear and effective communication with volunteers, donors, members, the public, and co-workers is necessary.


Moving: The ability to move up to twenty pounds on occasion is necessary for moving files, equipment, and supplies. Must be able to regularly position self to access files.


Office Work: Ability to effectively and regularly operate a computer, keyboard, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and printers, and ability to inspect, prepare and use paperwork, files, equipment, and supplies is necessary.
