Job Brief


The Digital Enablement Risk & Operations Specialist reports to the Strategic Initiatives Management lead within the Enterprise Digital Enablement team and is responsible for managing aspects of risk and operations for Enterprise Digital, including issues management, oversight of MSIF remediations, digital procedures, control testing, and risk process optimization. This role supports cross functional teams and provides critical risk insights to business partners within and across Enterprise Digital teams. With these responsibilities also comes the opportunity to provide project management support to cross functional risk initiatives.


Essential Functions


This role will partner and collaborate with Business Risk & Controls (BRC), and 2nd Line of Defense Risk Management, as well as Digital Product Owners and other business partners to ensure the Digital LOB is well managed from a risk perspective and adhering to the established risk framework.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Partner with Digital leaders and Product Owners to educate the team on areas of risk and encourage team to communicate potential business changes that may impact business risk.
  • MSIF Oversight; ensure accuracy of root cause, effectiveness of remediation, work with the cross-functional team to resolve the issue in a timely manner and communicate to digital leadership / escalate where needed.
  • Develop strong relationships with the Digital Product owners and Risk partners; serve as the business liaison between risk and the business. Help to ensure key functional risk requirements are translated to the business.
  • Provide thought leadership and challenge the status quo to identify opportunities for risk process optimization.
  • Support the line of business through project management of cross-functional risk-based initiatives across all areas of Enterprise Digital, Consumer, Commercial Servicing, and Originations & Wellness.
  • Be a champion for digital and help risk partners to understand the uniqueness of our digital business. Work with our risk and compliance partners to modify procedures and controls to ensure they are appropriately tailored for both our business and regulatory needs.
  • Encourage teams to implement new processes and procedures to mitigate risk.
  • Responsible for monitoring risk across the enterprise; operational, compliance, and credit. Develop methodologies and identify best practices for assessing and controlling risk across these key areas.
  • Centralized ownership of Digital procedures, including alignment with risk management framework, proper control placement, annual reviews, and identification of opportunities to optimize processes.


Qualifications


  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with operations and risk
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to think strategically coupled with the ability to drive to execution
  • Ability to effectively communication and influence, both verbally and written
  • Excellent attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, digital environments, and GRC a plus

  • Self-disciplined, self-motivated, and adaptable with the ability to lead others towards common outcomes and execution of strategy, while sharing knowledge, insights, and experiences to help others develop.
  • Proficient use of personal computers including use of Microsoft Office and various web-based software applications and databases.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities to achieve goals with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to achieve high quality results in a fast-paced, deadline driven, competing priority environment.
  • Demonstrate sound and effective critical thinking, problem solving and conflict management skills in a dynamic, fast paced team environment; ability to “connect the dots”.


Compensation And Benefits


This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $70,000 to $90,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
