Join the in-house creative team of a dynamic beauty company as their newest Digital Designer based out of the New York City area. This hybrid remote role will report in-office 2-3 days per week. This individual is an expert in digital design and motion graphics who will create on-brand content, campaigns, and integrated marketing assets for our portfolio of leading hair care brands. The ideal candidate is collaborative, agile, energetic and able to quickly learn and implement the distinct visual identities of our brands, transforming concepts into wireframes and assets with impact for a memorable customer experience. He/she/they will help to build engaging online experiences for users that drive CTR, and increase time spent, conversion rates, order volumes, and customer satisfaction. This role will liaise regularly with internal creative, content, ecommerce and social team members, as well as agency partners, to ensure branding is consistent across all channels and touchpoints.

Digital Designer Responsibilities:

• Leverage performance + engagement data and insights to create design solutions that optimize campaign results
• Work with art directors/creative marketing managers to create visual aspects of content and creative with minimal revisions and with in-house teams to ensure alignment of brand's visual voice when creating content
• Manage multiple, concurrent design projects at various stages of production, to ensure all timelines are met and to maintain graphic consistency across all brand and corporate deliverables
• Perform quality control on all creative deliverables and ensure they deliver on creative brief while reflecting brand aesthetics and guidelines
• Manage the layout and production design of content and creative assets for owned digital channels and digital advertising.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of user interface that comes from being current with social media platforms, trends, etc.
• Monitor competitive brands and beauty/fashion/design industry trends in order to bring fresh, timely ideas to design projects
• Design for multiple digital content formats including webpages, social media graphics, infographics, gifs, newsletters, etc.
• Execute best practices in user-centric design for desktop, mobile, email and social media

Essential Cross-Functional Responsibilities:

• Optimize & manage digital assets
• Develop branding and brand identity
• Concept campaigns and photoshoots
• Design for print and sometimes packaging

Digital Designer Requirements:

• Meticulous attention to detail and an ongoing commitment to achieving high quality results.
• Strong understanding of successful E-commerce and responsive design.
• High taste level and standards.
• 3+ years of WORK experience as a Motion Graphic Digital Designer working primarily in digital media formats.
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field strongly preferred.
• Experience in Beauty and/or Fashion preferred.
• Collegial, collaborative and team-oriented individual preferred.
• Strong knowledge of digital asset optimization and best practices.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Video editing and motion graphic skills. Fluent in latest versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After effects, and other visual design and wire-framing tools.
• Experience in a high volume, deadline-driven environment
• Image manipulation and cropping skills, keen eye for typography, visual hierarchy, and composition.
