Digital Creation Lead

The Digital Product Creation: Apparel Production Studio is the foundation and support of the Apparel product image creation process at our client. As the Digital Creation Lead (DCL), you will be the main connection point between what the categories need and what the DPC Apparel Production Studio creates!

DCLs continuously project coordinate and attend category meetings to proactively seek info needed to execute graphics and images required for product creation utilizing a project management tool tracker. DCLs additionally call and conduct meetings to ensure gates and dates are met and content of meetings are complete and sent to the image studio.

DCLs deliver tools for review to ensure Apparel Product Creation Teams have what is needed to create, sell and manufacture their seasonal product. Our studio operates seasonally starting directly after Design Review continually maintaining imagery through Go-To-Market Readiness.

DCLs provide metrics on status and negotiate deadlines that are “off calendar” while managing up any “out of scope” requests. DCLs collaborate with their partners to ensure “one voice” of service to all categories into the DPC Apparel Production studio.


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The DCL is an image process specialist, with demonstrated project management experience. The ideal candidate is service-minded, and will drive seamless integration and collaboration between the Apparel Production Studio and Product Creation teams. Previous knowledge of apparel construction is nice to have.


WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

The DCL produces information to help manage & maintain the accuracy and availability of apparel product images according to our client image standards. You will attend, participate in, or conduct meetings between category partners and the DPC AP Production Studio:

Individual workload and calendar management - communicate key dates to partners, working across several seasons simultaneously.

Peer communication within the Apparel Image Production Studio.

Assign, track and manage daily tasks. Troubleshoot clarifying questions, quality check, and prioritize tasks in a time-bound environment.

Documentation and Training

Licensing approvals

Production graphic file delivery to factories


WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This position is very cross-functional in nature - partnering directly with the DPC community to innovate and challenge traditional ways of working. This includes Image Artists, Senior Image Artists and the Licensing Approvals team in the DPC Apparel Production Studio. You'll also work with Product Information Analysts (PIAs), and Category teams including Product Management, Design, Tech Development and Product Operations.


WHAT YOU BRING

A Bachelor's degree in a related field, or two additional years of experience in lieu of a degree

Two years' experience in a high-volume production studio environment

Experience in Adobe Creative Suite preferred, other 3D applications are nice to have

Demonstrated Project Management experience

Experience with collaborative tools (Wrike, Smartsheet, Miro) preferred


Duties:

Illustration - Creates and maintains apparel, accessory, and other illustrations to our client standards for accuracy, detail, and organization. May include scanning and colorblocking design sketches or illustrating directly in the computer. Distributes images for use in the Product Engine process and for use in sales tools (catalogs). Meets production deadlines for regional contribution to the relevant apparel image bank. Page Layout - Creates documents to support the commercialization of apparel: Visual line plan, category concept sheets, silhouette line art pages, flows plans, schematics and merchandising pages. Combines illustrations, text, product data, photos, and graphics as needed. Works with category team to define and produce product image collections in both printed and electronic formats. Meets deadlines for creation and distribution of documents to matrix partners. Understands and follows our client standards for document structure and layout. Process Management. Balances resources with demands and communicates plans with Product Line Managers, Product Designers, Graphic Designers, Developers, and global/regional partners. Works with Sales Tool Production Art Coordinator or category team on seasonal calendar planning to ensure that production deadlines meet the needs for development of sales tools. Reviews product status, project status, approval requirements and production deadlines with matrix partners. May monitor and manage workload for Production Artists within the assigned category or business unit. Design Support - Provides categorical support to designers (Product and Graphic). Includes assembly, production, maintenance and organization of seasonal presentation materials. Research and Development - Keeps abreast of current technology and industry standard tools for illustration and page layout, new media and new standards for production art. Advises IT partners on technology requirements. Supports testing and implementation of new tools and processes.


Skills:

Minimum of 3 years progressively responsible experience in production art using Adobe Creative Suite. Effective verbal and written communication skills in local market language, including presentations. Ability to clearly articulate policies and instructions. Proficient information seeking skills and drive for results. Ability to share ideas and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management. Ability to work cooperatively with staff.
