Position Summary:
Stova is eagerly seeking a talented DevOps and Technical Support Engineer to play a key role in maintaining our infrastructure, working closely with business stakeholders to support our products, fixing bugs, and partnering with our Development Teams in implementing product features. You will have a great opportunity to work with and learn from other key stakeholders within our fast-paced, Agile environment and be able to exercise your creativity to bring a fresh perspective to our award-winning event management software. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Infrastructure and services documentation
- Implement DevOps principles and practices
- Infrastructure housekeeping, testing, and automation
- Monitor our systems at all levels
- Performance tuning
- Respond to business inquiries and tickets, assist in troubleshooting and resolving challenges and manage support queue in Zendesk and Azure DevOps
- Integrate our Azure services with CI/CD pipelines
- Assist in optimizing our cloud infrastructure for our SaaS applications
- Support our developers throughout all phases of our development cycle
- Provide L3 Support for Aventri applications
- Play a key role in the planning, deployment, securing, and maintenance of our product environments
Education, Experience, & Skills Required:
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Ability to work a rotating on-call schedule
- Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical study (IT experience can substitute for a BS degree)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with source code management tools such as GitHub or equivalent
- Knowledge of PCI compliance, Application layer and operations layer security and OWASP mandates a plus
- Experience with infrastructure scripting solutions for automation such as Bash/Shell, Python, YAML, HCL; Powershell is a must
- Experience with observability/monitoring software (Datadog)
- Experience providing technical and L3 support to the business and clients.
- Understanding of fundamental network technologies like DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, SQL, HTTP
- Process-oriented with great documentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with relational database administration (MySQL/SQL Server)
- Experience or knowledge with Amazon Web Services and related services and features like EC2, S3, autoscaling, load balancing, Route53, S3, IAM
- Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Docker, Git, Jira, Jenkins
- Experience with serverless technologies
- Strong working knowledge with Azure services, including Azure DevOps (Pipelines / Repos / Artifacts / Boards), Azure AD, App Services / Function Apps, SQL, Monitor, Load Balancers / Application Gateways, API Management, KeyVault, VM Scale Sets
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally to support events as required (up to 20% travel)
