Position Summary:

Stova is eagerly seeking a talented DevOps and Technical Support Engineer to play a key role in maintaining our infrastructure, working closely with business stakeholders to support our products, fixing bugs, and partnering with our Development Teams in implementing product features. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Infrastructure and services documentation
  • Implement DevOps principles and practices
  • Infrastructure housekeeping, testing, and automation
  • Monitor our systems at all levels
  • Performance tuning
  • Respond to business inquiries and tickets, assist in troubleshooting and resolving challenges and manage support queue in Zendesk and Azure DevOps
  • Integrate our Azure services with CI/CD pipelines
  • Assist in optimizing our cloud infrastructure for our SaaS applications
  • Support our developers throughout all phases of our development cycle
  • Provide L3 Support for Aventri applications
  • Play a key role in the planning, deployment, securing, and maintenance of our product environments


Education, Experience, & Skills Required:

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
  • Ability to work a rotating on-call schedule
  • Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical study (IT experience can substitute for a BS degree)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with source code management tools such as GitHub or equivalent
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Application layer and operations layer security and OWASP mandates a plus
  • Experience with infrastructure scripting solutions for automation such as Bash/Shell, Python, YAML, HCL; Powershell is a must
  • Experience with observability/monitoring software (Datadog)
  • Experience providing technical and L3 support to the business and clients.
  • Understanding of fundamental network technologies like DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, SQL, HTTP
  • Process-oriented with great documentation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with relational database administration (MySQL/SQL Server)
  • Experience or knowledge with Amazon Web Services and related services and features like EC2, S3, autoscaling, load balancing, Route53, S3, IAM
  • Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Docker, Git, Jira, Jenkins
  • Experience with serverless technologies
  • Strong working knowledge with Azure services, including Azure DevOps (Pipelines / Repos / Artifacts / Boards), Azure AD, App Services / Function Apps, SQL, Monitor, Load Balancers / Application Gateways, API Management, KeyVault, VM Scale Sets
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally to support events as required (up to 20% travel)
