Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Support Engineer to join our technical support team. As a Support Engineer, you will play a vital role in providing technical assistance and resolving complex issues for our products. You will primarily support end users, developers, and corporate customers through various channels including telephone, written correspondence, and electronic media. This position requires the ability to work independently with limited supervision, and you may also be responsible for providing technical training, coaching, and mentoring to other engineers. Additionally, you will act as a substantial technical resource in specific product areas.


Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical training, coaching, and mentoring to other engineers, as needed.
  • Communicate with development teams and internal stakeholders at a peer level, demonstrating sufficient technical depth.
  • Utilize strong communication, problem-solving, and technical writing skills to provide exceptional customer service and support.
  • Serve as a substantial technical resource in specific product areas, providing expertise and guidance.
  • Provide support to end users, developers, and corporate customers through various communication channels.
  • Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Act as a secondary response for technical support, addressing complex product issues and escalated problems.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of standard computer science concepts and stay up to date with relevant technologies.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of personal computers, relevant operating systems, applications, and/or programming languages.
  • Solid understanding of standard computer science concepts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with development teams and internal organizations at a peer level.
  • Strong understanding of technical support issues and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Familiarity with personal computer architecture and networking.
  • 2-3 years of related experience in technical support or a similar role.

Preferred Degrees or Certifications:

  • Programming and debugging skills.
  • Expertise in Microsoft SharePoint and Active Directory required; knowledge of SQL Server and IIS is a plus.
  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
