Job Description
About KDC

At KDC we are on a mission to empower and support all people to meet their full potential in a world where every individual and family thrives, no matter the circumstances.

About this role:

KDC’s Development & Marketing team is looking to grow with the addition of an energetic Development & Marketing Coordinator to help meet annual goals. This position will support all aspects of fundraising and marketing as the team secures donations and promotes the KDC brand. The ideal candidate is a team player who is organized, proactive, asks questions, and is successful at multitasking. If you have a can-do attitude and are interested in developing your skills to grow in the role, please apply!

In this role, you’ll get to:

Execute all aspects of donation processing in partnership with Development and Finance, including gift acceptance and coding, accurate data entry and CRM (Abila) management, and timely gift acknowledgement. At times, volume of donations will require heightened productivity (around events and end-of-year).

  • Support fundraising events managed by Development Manager; specifically, implement planning and logistics around vendor coordination, silent and live auctions, print materials, event platform, registration, volunteers, donor acknowledgement, and post-event close out.
  • Provide administrative support around departmental mailings (e.g., appeals/solicitations, thank you letters/cards, newsletters, donor communications)
  • Maintain positive rapport with KDC program staff to best support their development and marketing needs.
  • Provide general support for marketing projects and initiatives, including intranet, Swag Shop/Merch Store, fulfillment of agency-wide print needs, and program newsletters.

We are looking for people who have:

  • Knowledge of CRM software/donor databases.
  • Willingness to work occasional nights and/or weekends.
  • Self-starter with strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Customer service mindset is a must.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with KDC and/or Human Services is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in an administrative or development role with a demonstrated ability to take on increased responsibility
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.

The physical requirements for this role are:

  • Moderate travel in Massachusetts required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Frequent phone and computer use.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

KDC values a diverse workforce. We are committed to a culture of equality and inclusivity that fosters dialog, innovation, compassion, respect, and collaboration. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, ethnicity, age, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, disability status, neurodiversity, or any other protected characteristic outlined by federal, state, or local laws. Your uniqueness drives our excellence!
