Job Description
Description – Designer


PBK is looking for a highly motivated and creative Designer who is ready to join our design team. You will be responsible for producing high quality project design deliverables in construction documents. You will work on any/all phases of development including Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents and Construction Administration. You will report to the Director/Principal/Associate Principal on tasks and deliverables to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget constraints.


Your Impact:


  • Prepare concept design, schematic design, and design development
  • Generate detailed designs and facilitate the production process
  • Create innovative designs that can adapt to a variety of materials and situations meeting client requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the Design Leadership in establishing format, drawing assignments, deliverables, and schedules.
  • Participate and lead design charrettes with clients and PBK staff
  • Function as a conduit between conceptual design process and architectural implementation
  • Communicate design concepts verbally and visually
  • Supervise and mentor teams of Designers assigned to project teams


What You'll Need:


  • 5+ years of related design experience, preferably K-12 or Higher Education
  • Ability to interact with senior management, external client organizations, and vendors
  • Advanced proficiency in Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Lumion and AutoCAD
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Ability to self-edit work and command a high level of accuracy
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
  • Strong oral, written, and graphic English communication skills
