Job Description
The Demographics Advisor will be responsible for building and enhancing both processes and capabilities to identify, update, house, maintain demographic data of our customers, caretakers, and other key stakeholders within Cigna systems and platforms. These processes and capabilities are critical to execute strategy for the Government Business Segment’s Medicare segment, as they are utilized across multiple disciplines to enhance stakeholder experiences and business processes.
The Customer and Caregiver Demographic Advisor must be able to execute a strong governance for demographic information by partnering and collaborating effectively with vendors and multiple operational and business partners across Cigna to identify and implement best-in-industry demographic maintenance and utilization practices which improve the efficiency and quality of correspondence with Customers and partners served.
The Customer and Caregiver Demographics Advisor will need to produce varied data on a repeated cadence reflecting the current existence, quality, and stability of demographic information within systems. By maintaining a strong partnership with key business and IT matrix partners, who both ingest and produce customer demographic information and critical enablers, the Demographic Advisor will improve processes that reduce operational costs and impact member retention.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops process for identifying, housing and maintaining both Customer and Caregiver Demographic information for all Medicare Advantage customers.
Ensure accurate customer and caregiver demographic information is delivered and available in our systems.
Ensure the process is developed for the appropriate, compliant and legal access and utilization of demographic data
Ensure the continual/perpetual maintenance of demographic data
Determine how to best use vendor and National Database Data within core strategic platforms.
Partner closely with Critical/Key Cigna Healthcare functions closely aligned to customer demographic information, to utilize Key reporting and audit/monitoring outcomes and processes to document and improve erroneous address information and reduce waste.
Drive continuous improvements in customer’s personal contact information accuracy (i.e. telephone numbers, emails, etc.) by partnering with the key business owners and departments who capture, update, utilize and house demographic data
Build Caregiver information database and process, including HIPAA consent, demographic information, and print and verbal communications.
Partner with departments to improve the accuracy of language preference and delivery methods
CAPABILITIES NEEDED:
2+ years’ experience in handling healthcare data (deep understanding of HIPAA)
Ability to develop and execute SQL queries and communicate insights from the data required
Proven ability to work effectively with multiple departments and matrix partners to achieve strategic goals and outcomes
Experience in working with demographic information, specifically postal or vendor data is preferred
Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills, strong self-starter mentality
Leads efforts and drives results in a matrixed environment with critical partnerships with Legal, Compliance and IT partners
Strong CMS MMG knowledge required
Understanding of Medicare regulations preferred
Proven ability to drive multi-functional improvement projects
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 80,000 - 133,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
