Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Student Performance Monitor (Dean of Students) is responsible for duties related to student discipline, attendance and other factors which impede student success.


REPORTS TO
: School Director

SALARY SCHEDULE: Salary will be based on appropriate salary scale.

WORK DAYS: 190


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education Level: Two years of college from an accredited college or university

Preferred: College graduate

  • Experience, Skill, and Certification:
  • Must be able to relate to people of all ethnic groups and socio-economic levels
  • Must be able to navigate student database to input student discipline data
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Must have effective oral and written Communication skills
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision
  • Must be computer literate

Preferred: Experience working with children in a school setting


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Prepares district reports concerning discipline and/or attendance.
  • Enforces school attendance policies to promote student achievement.
  • Helps to supervise student activities, extracurricular activities and specific duties as assigned by the Director.
  • Investigates student attendance and conduct concerns.
  • Works with inter county agencies as needed.
  • Promotes an effective learning environment through enforcement of the student code of conduct. Work with intervention teams to resolve problems that impede student learning and/or participate in school activities. Lead student rewards system.
  • Help to develop and update disciplinary procedures as needed.
  • Participate in parent conferences and IEP meetings as requested.
  • Prepares communications outlining conduct violations, warnings, suspensions, etc.


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary will be based on appropriate salary scale. (190 Days)
