Description


What We Do: The Sales Operations team is a crucial part of the Revenue Org. We help our sales teams drive revenue more efficiently through streamlined processes and clear data.


What You Do: The Deal Desk Analyst processes request through a shared inbox and through queues in Salesforce to create and send Quotes, Order Forms and negotiated legal documents for the Sales and Renewals teams. They work with the Finance, Legal and the Customer Success and Salesforce Operations teams closely to coordinate approvals for and execute non-standard deals.


Day-in-the-Life: As a Deal Desk Analyst, a typical day may include the following:


  • Reviewing, compiling and sending clean copies of contracts for signature via DocuSign.
  • Coordinating with Finance or Legal to approve non-standard requests and then set up CPQ and Salesforce accordingly in order to execute.
  • Creating and updating Quotes in Salesforce CPQ according to the Revenue and Customer Success Approval Matrix.
  • Processing requests via email and Salesforce queues to update language, formatting and/or Order details on an Order Form within SLAs.


First Year in Role:


  • Month 6: Within 6 months, you will be able to handle nearly all requests self-sufficiently and adding to the “Deal Desk Manual” as you encounter new requests.
  • Month 12: Within 12 months, you will be recommending and implementing process improvements for the team.
  • Month 3: Within 3 months, you will have a working understanding of quoting in Salesforce CPQ and how to apply our approval matrix for non-standard terms.


Qualifications:


Experience:


  • 2+ years in a sales support, contracting, or deal desk role
  • Experience with Salesforce and SaaS accounting principles


Skills:


  • Ability to discuss CPQ errors with Salesforce developers, a plus!
  • Organization to keep up with multiple open requests while waiting for responses
  • Prioritization when everything feels urgent, such as end of quarter
  • Effective communication across various departments and levels in the organization


Tools:


  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Microsoft Word
  • Salesforce, especially CPQ
  • DocuSign, or similar tool


Compensation


In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $61,500 - $92,300, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus of 10%. If you are hired at Payscale, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
