Job Summary:

Title: Day to Day Artist Manager to Roc Nation Client/Artist

Location: New York, NY (Full-Time, On-Site)

The Role:

Roc Nation is looking for a Day-to-Day Artist Manager to join the Artist Management division based in New York City. This role is for a specific artist team and we are looking for someone who is capable of building and leveraging a broad network of strategic and creative resources to generate impactful opportunities, as well as a high-level of detail and experience working with top level artists, artist’s teams, label executives and industry partners. Previous Tour Management experience preferred.

A successful Day-to-Day Artist Manager will set realistic expectations with their clients, deliver on those expectations, add meaningful value to their client’s career, projects, ask the necessary questions and provide top notch service to ensure we retain their business and enable their success.

Responsibilities/Key aspects of the role:

• Become a subject matter expert of all Roc Nation services to utilize across your portfolio of clients
• Know how to work closely and effectively with artist personnel, such as tour managers, personal assistants etc.
• Manage logistics and details across all Artist’s day-to-day schedule working closely with the Tour Manager on travel details, booking glam teams, executing live events and appearances, etc.
• Provide clients with overall strategic guidance around managing all aspects of their career
• Know how to effectively manage budgets and work with promoters and business managers to ensure fiscal responsibility and profitability
• Build and maintain a network of strategic and creative relationships, including but not limited to advertising, influencer, and social media agencies; content creators; publicists; radio promoters; A&R resources; sync licensing companies, brand agencies and international strategists
• Leverage the aforementioned network and your own experience and personal network, to identify and generate opportunities to increase overall exposure, project exposure and revenue for your clients
• Engage with additional Roc Nation business verticals, such as marketing, digital marketing and management on the wider artist team with updates of status, changes and concerns
• Understands how to effectively partner with and navigate artists with a wide range of personality types
• Assist clients in establishing their release timelines and the flow of related marketing assets

Qualifications:

• Must have experience working with A-level artists/clientele
• Already has an established network within the music industry and relevant influencer communities
• Preferably NYC based or willingness to relocate at own expense
• Dynamic and passionate music fan with a deep knowledge of Hip-Hop, Rap and R&B
• Comprehensive understanding of emerging and established streaming and social platforms
• At least 5 years of Artist Management, Tour Management and/or relevant experience in the music industry
• Ability to provide a valid passport for international travel
• Flexibility to travel as needed for extended periods of time based on client and business needs
• Proficiency in digital productivity landscape including Microsoft Office & Google Suite, presentation building and various research/analytics tools
• Comprehensive understanding of A&R, music publishing and live music touring
• Constantly stays abreast of the evolving music technology landscape and entrepreneurialism in music. The ability to keep artists at the forefront of industry change to effectively manage their career
• Familiarity with the digital music distribution landscape
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal communication, adaptability, and time management skills, as well as the ability to prioritize, multitask, and focus while working under ambitious and demanding timelines
