Desired Skills and Experience

* 3-5 years of experience administrating databases

* Proven experience administering SQL to prepare databases for SSRS, SSIS, reporting

* Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers

* Has experience working in a heavily regulated environment

o Experience with intense documentation or working in the financial or banking industry


Day-to-Day

Insight Global is seeking a Database Administrator for one of our clients in Des Moines, IA. This DBA will be deeply involved with databases with SQL. This person will collaborate and communicate with multiple teams to administrate databases for projects, keep the databases healthy and maintenances, and be an escalation point and will have to troubleshoot. The DBA will work heavily with SQL. 50% of their day will be troubleshooting, 30% of their day will be maintenance the database, and other 20% will be working to administrate the database for projects. The DBA will be a part of a once a month on call rotation.
