Primary Responsibilities
Support an Electronic Medical Records Application, Epics, in a 7x24x365 operation.
Setup and maintain application development/test environments.
Enure all systems related documentation is maintained properly.
Write and follow procedures and process documentation.
Perform database installation, upgrade, patch, configuration, backup/restore and maintenance.
Provide testing and performance tuning support.
Monitor database environments including backups, performance and replication.
Develop scripts to automate routine and repetitive database administration tasks where applicable.
Provide Level III support.
Work as a team member with staff.
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Preferred a Bachelor’s degree in, computer science, or a computer related field or the equivalent professional work experience or technical training.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ technology experience supporting an enterprise level database oriented applications.
Fluent in Cache/Mumps and familiar with database design principles.
Experience working with SQL and MSSQL
Experience with Epic is a plus.
Experience working with RedHat Linux OS.
Adept in performance monitoring and tuning.
Working knowledge of system administration principles such as designing for scalability reliability, performance, security and maintenance.
Working knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language, examples include Perl, Python, or PowerShell.
Working knowledge of Windows Server 2016 or 2019 and Active Directory.
Knowledge of VMWare (ESX), FTP, Epic, System pulse, or Citrix is desirable.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent computer skills a must.
Excellent customer service skills required.
Proven track record of responsibility for various assigned projects and tasks.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
