Data Engineering Internship - Mobile and AI/ML experiences (Unpaid Internship)

Location: Seattle, WA or Kirkland, WA

hushh is a well-funded AI first product and services startup (in stealth mode) based out of Kirkland, WA which is a suburb of Seattle, WA with international offices in Dubai, UAE and Chennai & Mumbai, India.

Our mission is making user data generally accessible and valuable for the user and all their trusted partners (developers) so their data starts helping them and turn their data into a real helpful asset for them. We're building a category defining service which we refer to as "Intelligence as a Service" for our users so the best AI Assistants of the world including chatGPT, Google Assistant, Siri, Alexa, Bard etc. can all serve our users with their personal preferences and choices keeping their privacy and ownership top of mind.

We are seeking data engineering interns to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a hunger and passion to work on data and build helpful, joyful gaming experiences using the best AI/ML developer tooling available for mobile and web audiences. Picking up and learning new data technologies such as github copilot and using python, tensorflow, pytorch as well as the latest LLMs available would be available to you.

As a Data Engineering Intern at hushh, you will work with a team of experienced engineers and data scientists to build intelligent and scalable mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data infrastructure
• Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to implement AI and ML algorithms and models into our mobile applications
• Work closely with mobile developers to ensure seamless integration of AI and ML features into our mobile applications
• Continuously improve and optimize our data infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AI and ML developer tooling available, including GitHub Copilot, Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and the latest LLMs
• Implement and maintain data management and storage solutions for our mobile applications

Qualifications:

• Experience with AI and ML tooling and frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• Passion for building helpful, joyful, and engaging experiences for mobile and web audiences
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong programming skills in one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, Swift, or Kotlin
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with data engineering tools and technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, and SQL databases
• Hunger and passion to work on data and learn new technologies such as GitHub Copilot and the latest LLMs
