Storage Engineer Jobs

Iron Bow Technologies is looking for a Storage Engineer to support an existing, long time Federal Government customer. The Storage Engineer provides management of mission-critical, highly available, storage and connectivity solutions utilizing all-flash and hybrid tiered enterprise-grade SAN, NAS, and connectivity assets from multiple vendors.

This position is currently hybrid with remote and onsite at our customer location in NW Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:

• Dell Compellent
• Hitachi Data Systems
• NetApp
• The candidate should possess demonstrable experience and a high-level understanding of Brocade SAN switchesas well as products from at least 2 of the following vendors:
• Pure Storage
• HP/3PAR
• Provide incident response and root cause/mitigation analysis for major incidents.
• Dell EMC
• Maintain inter-site and intra-site replication between storage components for redundancy and disaster recovery contingencies.
• Implement, maintain, and repair hardware, firmware and software components of storage arrays, fiber channel switches, NAS controllers as well as the applications and virtualization infrastructure that utilize these services.
• Monitor the health of the file system,file structure, and data integrity, including share and file- level permissions of all file services.

Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
• Experience with storage infrastructure design, maintenance, upgrades, migrations, advanced troubleshooting and monitoring
• Minimum 10 years of related experience
• BS in Computer Science, Information Science, or other relevant discipline; an advanced degree is preferred, or at least 12 years work experience
• Experience with VMware ESXi storage management and configuration
• U. S. Citizen

Certifications:

• HP/3PAR
• Dell EMC
• Have at least one certification from the below vendor list, or Brocade Certified Network Engineer (BCNE), or vendor neutral certification such as Storage+
• Dell Compellent
• Pure Storage
• NetApp
• Hitachi Data Systems
