Southern Home Services is a leading provider of essential maintenance, repair, replacement, and new installation for residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), Plumbing, and Electrical services. Southern HVAC is rapidly growing, doubling in size over the last 12 months. Currently the company employs 1000+ employees and serves over 600,000 homeowners in eight states across the South and Midwest US.


The Data Analyst at Southern Home Services will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business growth and efficiency. The position will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources, drawing meaningful conclusions, and providing valuable recommendations to stakeholders across the organization. Analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate data into understandable insights will be essential in supporting data-driven decision-making processes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure data privacy and security by adhering to data governance policies and industry regulations.
  • Implement best practices for data management, storage, and access.
  • Collaborate with business teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and growth.
  • Utilize statistical methods and data visualization tools to communicate findings effectively.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting significant findings and data-driven recommendations.

  • Enhance skills in data manipulation, data visualization, and statistical analysis.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and identify key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Use data insights to support strategic decision-making and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Analyze complex data sets and develop models to predict future trends and business outcomes.
  • Collect, cleanse, and organize data from various sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Data-driven Recommendations:
  • Create and maintain automated reports and interactive dashboards to track KPIs and key metrics.
  • Data Collection and Preparation:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis.


Requirements


  • Hands-on knowledge problem solving approach
  • Influencing business decisions in a highly matrixed organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
  • Excellence in PowerBI or similar data visualization tool
  • Minimum 4-year college degree in computer science, business administration, analytics, or economics or other related field of discipline or equivalent experience.
  • High sense of urgency with an understanding to thrive in a fast-paced environment
