Data Analyst Intern Jobs

Danfoss Turbocor in Tallahassee, FL is searching for a Data Analyst Intern to assist with the creation, validation, and implementation of new data algorithms related to Danfoss Turbocor oil-free compressors. The intern will also demonstrate the ability to present findings to a non-technical team to assist that team with providing product enhancements and added value to our customers.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Perform Data cleaning, transforming, mining, and visualization
• Create reports and presentations on data findings to share with the product team. Participates in meetings with stakeholders, product management team, and third-party resources to assist in AI/ML feature definition.
• Assist the digital team to develop and validate algorithms created in partnership with other Danfoss departments outside of North America.
• Supports the development of data analytics within the scope of the digital services platforms and other duties as assigned by manager.
• Research, develop, and explore hidden patterns by generating cross-functional solutions through analysis of large data sets
• Develop algorithms and predictive models, validates models and measures performance
• Support the design and deployment of an efficient way to organize the current data system

Required Qualifications

• Interest in product management and/or product development
• Strong Python, SQL, Microsoft Office Suite skills
• Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or Computer Science
• Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
• Candidates must be located in the Tallahassee, FL area.
• Availability to work remotely 36+ hours/week during summer and 10-20 hours/week during Fall/Spring semester. Candidates who can work for a full year will be given preference.
• Experience working with large datasets and databases

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Prior experience in engineering, HVAC, or mechanical systems.
• Experience with database design and creation (Postgres preferred)
