General Description


The Data Analyst I of System Innovations will be responsible for stewardship, support and maintenance of BeiGene’s competitive intelligence data warehouse and aide in cross functional system integration and creation of reproducible analytical solutions. This role will report to the Associate Director of Systems Innovation and will be part of a cross functional competitive intelligence team to ensure prompt and accurate data for business analysis and strategic decision making. Provides expertise for reliable and timely updates to Product Managers and internal stake holders while acting in accordance with Data Science and Digital Innovation’s mission and vision.


Essential Functions Of The Job


  • Working knowledge of formal business requirement collection and framework (user-story, design and functional specifications, scope, stakeholder analysis).
  • Capable of developing script-based ad hoc data analysis with an integrated development environment (IDE) (e.g. Databricks, Posit, Eclipse, JetBrains, etc.).
  • Possesses a working knowledge of data curation methods and procedures.
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively elicit business requirements for advanced analytical solutions.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of development standards and programming conventions (authentication, configuration, condition handling, dependency management, programming style guide, alerting, logging, formal debugging methods, resourcing profiling, etc.).
  • Development capability in one or more BI frameworks (Spotfire, Power BI, etc.).
  • As part of a team, contributes to the delivery of advanced analytical solutions (ad-hoc analyses, workflows, UI/UX experiences or combination).
  • Possesses a working knowledge of data governance practices and procedures.


Other Qualifications


  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • 2-3 Years experience developing in multi-purpose high-level programming language (Python, R).


Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, statistics, mathematics, life sciences or other relevant scientific subject, or equivalent related experience.


Travel: No significant travel expected in short term

Salary Range: $80,200.00 - $110,200.00 annually

Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
