The role.

The Customer Service Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of the different technical and engineering groups that supports LDA US CS drive and motor activities out of New Kensington PA.

This role will require developing creative technical solutions while ensuring that the end customer requirements and needs are fulfilled.

If you are the successful candidate, you will work with the New Kensington Customer Service Manager and will be a vital part of supporting the Siemens New Kensington Large Drives customers.


Your profile.

Responsibilities:

  • Help support with technical assistance during customer issues (8Ds, 4Ds, escalations, etc.)
  • Owning the Engineering group by ensuring adequate resources and tools are available for the team.
  • Leading and running the Customer Service Engineering team at NKN to develop creative solutions for our customers with their needs and issues.
  • Ensuring that technical support is being provided during formation of quotes using the quotation service request.
  • Leads and is responsible for the Technical Service Request system and all applicable critical metrics.
  • Direct and support the Engineering group to ensure aftermarket projects are being actively worked on while ensuring schedules can be met.
  • Coordinates with Customer Service Aftermarket Sales to ensure application engineering solutions are being developed and fulfilled for customer quotations.
  • Leads all aspects of the Customer Service Technical Support team by ensuring current processes are being followed and service requests are being answered and closed in a timely manner.


Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and handle time effectively
  • 15% travel based on customer requested meetings and support
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of issues quickly.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 5 - 8 years of Engineering related experience supporting customers


Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Proficiently able to read and understand wiring schematics and drawings
  • Variable frequency drives experience
  • SAP experience


The pay range for this position is $97,500 - $167,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
