Essential Duties, Customer Service Representative:
C & B Equipment, a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 30 years to include John Deere Ag, material handling and power sports locations has an opening for a Customer Service Representative at one of its material handling locations in Richmond, VA servicing the Winchester area. This individual will be responsible for achieving parts and service department business objectives through profitable revenue generation by conducting business to business sales calls, quoting and selling: parts, preventative maintenance, warehouse products and will also provide customer forklift training. Jefferds Corporation and Homestead Material Handling Corporation are in the process of becoming part of the material handling division of C & B so you will get the opportunity to be part of a larger team and experience the exciting growth that will occur in this division.
Responsibilities:

• Territory development with a focus on new customer acquisition and retention
• This individual will manage a sales territory and a majority of time spent will be in the field conducting business to business sales calls
• Collaborate with the sales department to generate equipment sales and rental leads

Qualifications:

• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees while conducting training
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent written communication skills
• Strong customer service and selling skills
• Self-motivated and driven for success
• Proficient with computer programs - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Experience
Required

• Excellent customer relations skills.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle, and to maintain insurability with the company's insurance carrier.

Preferred

• 1 - 2 years: Material Handling/outdoor power equipment sales experience.

Education

• High School or better

• Valid Drivers License
