ABOUT THE POSITION:

Customer Service Associate II (Call Center)
This class is responsible for providing general customer assistance related to area of assignment. Incumbents answer questions; process payments; and sort and distribute mail.

Customer Service Associate II (Billing)
This class is responsible for providing Billing and Customer Service support. As a member of the Billing Unit, incumbents will work to ensure timely invoicing of 270,000 customer accounts of varied complexity. The incumbent will review invoices for accuracy, process bill corrections, generate reports, collect on past due balances, and collaborate with Field Operations and Customer Service to resolve account issues and bill disputes within pre-established DWR guidelines. The incumbent will interact with customers daily in responding to account inquiries and will conduct regular customer account maintenance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Customer Service Associate II (Call Center)
  • Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
  • Call Center experience preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Spanish speaking preferred
  • This job entails fiduciary responsibility and will require a credit check.
  • Three years of customer service experience to include one year in an office setting;
  • High School Diploma or GED;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Customer Service Associate II (Call Billing)
  • Three years of progressive Billing & Collections or Finance & Accounting duties preferred
  • This job entails fiduciary responsibility and will require a credit check.
  • Spanish speaking preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Three years of customer service experience to include one year in an office setting
  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
