Temporary Customer Service Agent – Retiree Health Solutions

Overview

Our team provides Medicare health insurance services to the retiree community. We work with retirees to help them navigate and choose the plan that fits their financial and medical needs. We build relationships with seniors on a one-to-one basis understand their needs and ensure we deliver tailored, cost-effective solutions.

About the Role

As a Sales and Service Customer Service Associate you will handle customers who has no existing enrollment by scheduling appointments for with an Alight Benefit Advisor, answering customer inquiries, and understanding the basics of Medicare.

The work you will do

  • Fully and accurately documenting all conversations and actions taken on each interaction
  • Making outbound calls or receiving inbound calls to confirm/reschedule appointments with an Alight Benefit Advisor
  • Actively listening to participants to understand both verbal and non-verbal cues
  • Working with benefit advisors and enrollment specialists, assisting them with their workload during peak call volumes.
  • Researching options in proprietary Alight tools and elsewhere on the internet
  • Answering inbound phone calls pertaining to the status of an application or general customer questions
  • Responding to instant live chat requests from customers
  • Demonstrating sustained confidence and resilience during challenging interactions

Requirements

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication, customer service and rapport building skills.
  • Proven success in maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced business environment
  • High School degree (or GED) required
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, telephony systems, internet, and computer tools
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and possess problem solving skills
  • Meeting or exceeding all key performance indicators for the role
  • Required hours of availability are 8:00 AM - 1:00 AM CST, 7 days a week. All candidates must be available to work any 8 hour shift within these hours .
  • Possess ability to talk and efficiently type simultaneously
  • Ability to understand details of insurance or complex information
  • Successfully complete a 13-day paid training course with no days missed.
  • Have strong keyboarding skills and desktop navigation

Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $25,800.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $45,200.00/year (for full-time employees).
