What you will be doing:


As our first Customer Marketer, Advocacy at Alignable, you'll be taking on a unique challenge: to foster loyalty and drive success among our most valuable members. Your primary audience will be our best and paying members, and your mission will be to develop strategic campaigns that not only retain but also empower and uplift these members. You'll also be leading 1:1 and 1:many coaching sessions with our members to drive success, build strong relationships, and improve retention.


Your role will go beyond simple campaign management; it will involve one-on-one coaching with our members, guiding them on their Premium Member Journey, and utilizing platforms like Appcues to enhance their experience. You’ll gain a deep understanding of our member personas, their challenges, and how to use data to drive impactful communication and successful marketing programs.


You’ll work cross-functionally with other teams, harnessing an array of tools including Iterable, Appcues, Amplitude, ABTasty, Looker, and a suite of no-code tools, to deliver personalized member experiences that are not just efficient, but also delightfully human.


What success looks like:


  • Regularly leverage analytics tools to gauge effectiveness of activities, ROI, and adjust activities based on performance
  • Identify, test, and exploit behavioral patterns that correlate with member retention
  • Manage marketing campaigns end-to-end: from ideating experiments, developing campaign strategy, to driving execution of the campaign through completion
  • Employ clear, concise messaging that enables our members to quickly achieve success
  • Design multi-channel, segmented marketing programs that maximize customer outcomes
  • Embody a customer-centric mindset, always prioritizing our members' value and success
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Advocacy, Member Success, and Product teams to meet ambitious growth targets using in-product messaging, content, and email channels
  • Analyze member data, feedback, and insights to inform campaigns that continuously lead our members towards "aha!" moments


What you will bring:


  • [Bonus] Experience designing & executing successful multi-channel segmented marketing campaigns, ideally for a networking, freemium and/or SAAS product
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in personal communications
  • Genuine passion for small businesses and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Aptitude for utilizing key data and insights to inform marketing strategies and decisions
  • 3-5 years experience in marketing, growth, analytics, or related roles
  • [Bonus] Experience with no-code tools and their application in enhancing customer experiences
  • Commitment to building strong professional relationships and fostering productive collaboration
  • [Bonus] Proficiency with Iterable, Appcues, Amplitude, ABTasty, Looker, or similar platforms
  • Proven hands-on experience with retention marketing and an ability to motivate customers to take action
