The Applications QA team is seeking a senior Software QA Engineer to perform workflow studies and competitive analysis on our Creativity and Productivity applications. We need someone committed to helping ensure a high-quality customer experience. The ideal candidate has a passion for (and track record of) working in creative audio and visual apps. A talent for identifying critical workflow inefficiencies is key to your success. Sharing your findings in formal presentations to cross-functional partners - and occasionally proposing innovative yet pragmatic solutions - is what will form the backbone of your contributions to the team. Must be comfortable working in a team-oriented, exciting but fast-paced environment, with constantly evolving priorities.

Key Qualifications

A passion for producing creative audio and visual content and domain expertise in different content creation applications
Top notch communication skills are a hard requirement, including the ability to distill complex ideas down to simple bullet points
Ability to identify workflow inefficiencies, creative solutions, and effectively present the results of the the study to collaborators
Familiarity with use of computer vision and machine learning technologies in automated user flows highly desirable.
Strong social media following and/or professional experience based on content creation a plus
Demonstrable understanding of SQA methodologies and practices in software engineering a plus
iOS and macOS knowledge strongly preferred. Familiarity with and current use of Apple’s creative products a bonus
A portfolio of creative and artistic work will be requested

Description

This position requires ramping up quickly on both existing and new technologies.
Responsibilities include designing and conducting user studies as well as documenting and analyzing customer workflows.
You will be expected to have or develop a deep understanding of established workflows in a variety of applications.
Reporting software defects and workflow inefficiencies - with detailed precision - will be required.
Your ability to forecast trends and find opportunities is what will set you apart.
You should be comfortable with ambiguity and have the courage to support bold departures from the norm, when appropriate.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $88,100 and $186,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
