Democratic Senator on the Judiciary Committee is seeking a proactive, experienced Counsel to work on a variety of issues that fall under the Committee's jurisdiction, which may include immigration, nominations, public safety and other topics. Responsibilities include developing, monitoring, and managing legislation; preparing for hearings; working with stakeholders and federal agencies; and drafting memos and talking points. Qualified candidates must possess excellent research and writing skills, strong analytical and communications skills, familiarity with the legislative process, and attention to detail. Ideal candidates will be a demonstrated team player and can stay organized in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects with tight deadlines. A law degree is required.
