Rate: $45-$52/hr. on a W2, Ongoing Contract, Remote

This consultant will be responsible for reviewing and revising various content to ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency and will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall quality of the client’s communication materials.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with content creators and subject matter experts to clarify information and enhance the overall quality of the content
• Ensure that all written materials comply with established editorial and brand guidelines
• Review and edit written content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and style consistency
• Identify and correct errors in grammar, usage syntax, and style to improve clarity and readability
• Provide input on messaging, tone, and style to ensure consistency across all communication channels
• Improve the organization, flow, and structure of content to enhance comprehension and audience engagement
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and address any communication-related concerns
• Review and revise PowerPoint presentations, ensuring they are engaging and aligned with the company’s brand identity
• Coordinate with marketing and communication teams to align messaging and content

Qualifications &Skills:

• Experience editing content like PowerPoint presentations, blogs and other communications deliverables
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly PowerPoint
• Portfolio/writing samples demonstrating copy editing expertise is preferred
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a consistent focus on meeting the expectations of internal customers/clients and an ability to grasp complex issues and translate them into easily understood concepts
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Strong attention to details and excellent proofreading and editing skills
• Exceptional command of English grammar, punctuation, and style
• Proven experience as a copywriter, copy editor, proofreader, or communications specialist
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field
