Reports to: Associate National Executive Director
Location: Los Angeles (Tues-Thurs in office, Mon and Fri remote)
About the Position
This is a full-time position supporting membership recruitment and engagement. As such, it works collaboratively at the intersection of several departments, including: Membership, Business Operations, Programs & Events, and Marketing & Communications. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with an expected pay range between $25/hour and $28/hour (between $52,000 and $58,240 annually for 40-hour weeks).

Responsibilities
Once you have become immersed in understanding the Guild’s membership vetting process, you will begin supporting:
- The development and expansion of member benefits (including, among others)
- Recruitment drives
- Hire PGA - employer outreach and networking opportunities and events
- Vendor and Service Provider discounts and showcases
- Database enhancements
Your responsibilities will roughly be divided as follows:
- Benefits expansion to increase the value proposition of membership (50%); and
- Recruitment (25%);
- Inter-departmental database enhancements enabling the Guild to better connect members to resources, opportunities and events (25%).
In all cases, you will be working with colleagues across departments and will be responsible for any event management and administration related to the activities above. This includes:
- Participation in New Member onboarding activities.
- Participation in quarterly meetings with Member Group leads (committees, task forces, working groups, steering groups).
- Full start to end management of any in-person or virtual events, including working with any staff or members leads on these events to ensure copy and assets have been delivered in a timely manner for inclusion in PGA’s promotional outlets (newsletter, social, e-blasts), creation of event registration page, tracking RSVPs, supervision of any staffing needed at the event and archiving event once it’s over.
Qualifications / Skills
- Cloud computing, and cloud storage – and best practices of both.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written. You will be required to communicate diplomatically with numerous stakeholders within and external to the organization on a timely basis.
- A meticulous attention to detail, including proofreading and fact-checking.
- Prior relevant experience, preferably for other guilds, trade associations, festivals, production companies, non-profit organizations, entertainment companies, etc. It's extremely helpful if you have familiarity or first-hand experience with professional level film or television production.
- You must be comfortable using the following tools: MS Office suite, One Drive, Sharepoint, Zoom Meeting, Zoom Webinar, GoTo Meeting, MassMailer, Airtable, entire Adobe suite (including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), Google suite, Mailchimp and Survey Monkey. You must be comfortable learning Nimble/Salesforce (our association software database).
- Wordpress fluency is a plus.

- You understand that due to the nature of the organization, you may be expected to work some evenings and weekends around major events such as the Producers Guild Awards or Produced By Conference.
- You have the ability to think and work proactively without constant supervision.
- You are flexible. This is a new position at the Guild and its scope may be further refined after hiring.
- You are interested in growing your understanding of the real challenges facing producers and want to participate in assisting the Guild in ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for its members and industry guests at events.
- Embody a positive attitude in fast-paced environments and under pressure in stressful situations.
- You are self-motivated and can work autonomously but you enjoy working as part of a team.
