Job Description

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Coordinator is responsible for the administrative operations and support of programs designed to foster a diverse workforce, cultivate an inclusive culture and enhance employee engagement.  You will report to the VP of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and support various workforce, culture and content initiatives at AMC Networks. This role will support key strategic DEI priorities in collaboration with Business Employee Resource Groups (BERGs), People and Culture, Recruitment, Learning & Development, Marketing, Communications/PR, Creative Development and Production.  You will play a key role in strengthening the Company’s DEI strategy throughout all of our lines of business. 

Job Responsibilities  
  • Assist with BERG efforts, DEI activations and departmental programming, including event planning requests from BERGs for heritage months. 
  • Provide administrative support to the VP, DEI, including but not limited to, coordinating and managing a heavy calendar of appointments with various demands and shifting priorities, phone calls, emails, visitor meetings, travel itineraries and any other related arrangements. 
  • Contact list maintenance.    
  • Persistent follow up with various departments to ensure that requests are carried out and activities are coordinated.    
  • Serve as a point of contact with external vendors and partnerships to drive activations and projects.  
  • Attend relevant meetings to contribute, capture action items, and ensure appropriate follow-through. 
  • Time management in both EST and PST. 
  • Coordinate and organize scheduling and logistics for meetings, events, speakers for all DEI activations. 
  • Assist with project managing DEI Taskforce initiatives, including keeping track of follow-ups, takeaways and action items. 
  • Conduct research on best practices, initiatives, and partnerships and provide recommendations to drive strategy  
  • Provide support to the BERGS, track project plans, and assist in the development of all new BERGs.  
  • Handle processing for departmental corporate card, all DEI related invoices, new vendor paperwork and DEI spending and budget for the 9 Global Business Employee Resource Groups (BERGS). 

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred) 
  • Highly proficient in a Windows-based work environment: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Forms and Power Point.    
  • Must be extremely detail oriented and possess strong follow-up skills.    
  • The ability to work independently, as well as function as part of a team, is required.    
  • Position must have the ability to work under pressure with little supervision in a fast-paced environment, be able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and be willing to work overtime as required.    
  • 2+ years of DEI/marketing/communications/legal or other related experience with a global company or production studio. 
  • Must be able to practice discretion and good judgment to prioritize a high volume of demands.   
The base compensation range for this position is $47,000 to $53,000 commensurate with experience.
