Job Description
We are an electric motor manufacturing plant on the east side of Houston, TX in the 77020 zip code.


This position manages, directs and coordinates accounting and banking as well as other financial and related activities of Gulf Electroquip/Red Claw LLC located Houston, Texas and IDEAL Electric located in Mansfield, Ohio. The responsibilities of this position include accounting as well as automation of accounting and business functions.


FINANCIAL PROCESSES


  • Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Prepare year end reconciliation and reporting
  • Report monthly sales tax and create required payments
  • Ensure accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with federal, state and local laws
  • Create Journal entries and yearend adjustments
  • Assess and interpret financial data
  • Prepare 1099’s and report to IRS
  • Prepare Monthly P&L and Key Indicator reports
  • Compile monthly bank reconciliations
  • Manage tax exempt status of our clients
  • Process daily cash receipts and application
  • Coordinate response to inquiries from IRS, State of Texas, etc
  • Manage collection process
  • Manage and Calculate depreciation
  • Create monthly Journal entries and allocations
  • Manage accounting personnel in both Texas and Ohio
  • Create final invoices and distribute to our clients


ACCOUNTING AND BUSINESS AUTOMATION


  • Project manage, discovery of parameters, write and implement accounting and business process automation
  • Manage our accounting functions of our ERP System, Visual Manufacturing


Other Duties


  • Office supply approval
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail, organized and computer literate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Use of an ERP system (Experience with VISUAL Enterprise is a plus)
  • Strong foundation in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)


Compensation/Benefits:


  • Annual Salary range from $80,000 to $100,000 based on experience and proficiency
