What you will be doing:

Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will be a business builder and scaler who will lead the Accounting organization and serve as a strategic thought partner. The Controller will oversee accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, tax and payroll. The ideal candidate will have experience in companies with multiple product lines and complex tax structures, as well as a proven track record of success in private equity & public company environments. The Controller will work closely with the CFO, executive management team, and private equity partners to ensure the financial success and efficient growth of the company.

  • Oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
  • Manage and develop a team of accounting and finance professionals, providing mentorship, coaching, and feedback to ensure professional growth and development.
  • Develop a set of systems and account structure that is flexible and able to accommodate potential acquisitions and geographic growth.
  • Work with the CFO to prepare and present financial reports to private equity partners and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial and operational data and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Experience in companies with multiple product lines and complex tax structures.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • A successful track record of financial audits with the Big 4
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Track record of successful implementing and upgrading systems. An individual with a preference to automate.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of developing and mentoring a high-performing team.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
