Controller, Head Of Finance Shared Services

The Controller is responsible to lead the organization, supporting 5 operating entities with key accounting matters, financial processes including budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls for Finance Shared Services. This role will report to the Group Corporate Controller, leading a team of accountants and work closely with the shared services teams to ensure all material transactions are evaluated and properly reflected in the books and records of the region.

• Research and analyze accounting matters, working closely with Group Finance & Administration colleagues
• Oversee the Shared Services General Accounting, including strong internal controls, policies and procedures, and responsible for the maintenance of the financial books and records
• Adhoc analysis / Special projects (including cross-functional support)
• Collaborate with Shared Service Center leadership with monthly/quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes, while providing proper finance information to the department leadership
• Manage relationship with external auditors, coordinate/oversee external financial and internal operational audits
• Monitor and innovate, as appropriate, accounting practices and strategies to optimize business performance
• Monitor and control SG&A costs across various departments that share operating cost (Finance, Insurance, HR, Sales, …)
• Develop, execute and control intercompany finance procedures including spending authorization in accordance with Group procedures and policies
• Lead and/or contribute as a key team member on various financial and process improvement projects
• Maintain internal accounting control environment
• Partner and consult with key stakeholders concerning Finance Shared Service performance and key issues, innovate and implement best practices, and process and productivity improvements
• Interface directly with corporate senior management and executive leadership
• Establish best practices and implement process, systems and tools harmonization across company Finance Shared Service departments

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or MBA in Accounting
• Minimum of 10+ years’ work experience is required, preferably in a shared services environment.
• CPA license preferred
• Manufacturing industry experience a plus
• Big Four public accounting experience preferred
