Job Description
TDA Research, Inc., located outside Denver, Colorado with research offices in Wheat Ridge and Golden, is seeking its next Contracts Supervisor. The company has a staff of over 100, which consists of mainly engineers and scientists who develop cutting edge chemical processes, materials, and hardware for customers in the defense, aerospace, energy and chemical industries. We rely on a high level of technical competence and efficiency within our team and look for motivated, talented, and skilled innovators to join us in supporting the mission of the company. An ability to learn quickly is essential as needs change constantly.


The Contracts Supervisor duties will vary, with responsibilities for preparation of proposal budgets, monitoring of contracts and subcontracts, reporting and maintaining government property control records, and helping to ensure that contract reporting and deliverable obligations are fulfilled. This position will provide audit support and assist with the preparation of periodic reports and will need an in-depth knowledge of contract features. Our company needs a candidate who brings strong organizational and excel skills, is comfortable with ambiguity, has a high degree of accuracy, and brings a positive attitude and a desire to learn the unique requirements of government contract accounting and reporting.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and other internal and external business connections
  • Present contract information to relevant parties, such as internal stakeholders
  • May supervise one or more contract team members
  • Keep track of contracts and work to extend, renew, or close them out
  • Create, analyze, negotiate, and execute an array of contracts for various transactions
  • Reviews bids, specifications and requirements for consistency and accuracy
  • Stay informed about changes to relevant rules and regulations
  • Maintain contract-related documents and correspondence in an organized, logical manner, to meet reporting and compliance requirements


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Ability to handle short deadlines / quick-turn requests
  • Proven analytical ability and close attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) and other federal agency regulations
  • Strong Excel, Word, and Adobe skills
  • Team player with a drive for excellence and ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics degree required; Master of Business Administration degree a plus
  • Relevant work experience of 3+ years of recent “hands-on” contract administration experience, preparing and monitoring contracts
  • Experience with accounting and budgeting


Annual Salary Range: $100,000-$115,000 per year plus the complete benefits package.


In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors as education, experience, skill-set, and/or location.
