The Contracts Management Associate performs contracts management functions across the spectrum of actions associated with providing supplies and services, from capture through proposal, contract award, and all phases of contract administration.
This role will offer you the following daily challenges:
  • Provide business advice and guidance to and coordinate with other functions including program management, finance, legal, subcontracts, business development, engineering, human resources, accounting, and compliance to effectively manage a breadth of responsibilities, including contract solicitations / capture, negotiations, and contract terms, including fulfillment of related obligations.
  • Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.
  • Coordinate solutions to contractual issues and Customer concerns related to Company performance.
  • May plan and participate in training of contract practices within Company.
  • Lead and support audits, as appropriate, with internal and external audit teams and agencies to support contract-related activities and verify compliance.
  • Serve as authorized, empowered representative for the Company as interface with Customer buying representatives responsible for building effective relationships and managing contracts to support business goals and objectives.
  • Collect contractual data and compiles reports in response to Corporate and Business Area requests.
  • Ensure contractual compliance with all laws and regulations, and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions.

This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Denver, Colorado, and be expected to work in the office.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Desired Skills:
  • Basic understanding FAR and DFAR
  • Government contracting experience
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products
  • Candidate must be eligible for TS/SCI clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $50,300 - $96,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
