Job Summary


The Manager of Continuous Improvement is responsible for developing, planning, and executing Brightview’s Continuous Improvement strategy across the entire organization.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Serve as a leader, mentor, and coach on continuous improvement tools. Partnering across the company to embed a continuous improvement philosophy into BrightView’s culture.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices across BrightView.
  • Responsible for overseeing a portfolio of improvement projects across BrightView ensuring project timelines and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with leadership to prioritize and improve critical areas.
  • Define and oversee Continuous Improvement KPIs, positively impacting safety, quality, performance, and financial metrics.
  • Lead high-impact process improvement resources/teams and ensure standardization and implementation of Lean tools.
  • Lead and deploy BrightView’s Continuous Improvement strategy across the entire organization, fostering a Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Act as a change leader to explain, communicate, influence and drive initiatives.
  • Identify and eliminate process waste, driving sustainable improvements.
  • Drive the adoption of technology tools and projects.


Education And Experience


  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities for problem resolution.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying CI (kaizen, 5S, waste, line balancing and more) processes with ownership of complex cross-functional projects.
  • Up to 100% travel to multiple sites.
  • Proven leadership skills in complex and high-pressure environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Continuous Improvement leadership role.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence and build relationships, fostering a culture of open communication and feedback.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Ability to drive consensus, obtain buy-in from senior leadership, and lead successful change initiatives by setting priorities, removing barriers, and empowering high-performing teams.
  • Continuous Improvement training and Black Belt Certification (highly preferred)
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in Engineering, Business, Construction science, Construction management, Operations.
