Job Description

Job Title:

Content Moderator

What does a Content Moderator really do? Think of yourself as someone who will ensure high quality and safe experiences when accessing information through the Internet for both people and businesses, so not everyone can qualify for this role.

The great part of content moderation is the mission behind it. The Internet sometimes could seem like a big and unsafe place where scammers are the rulers. You will love this job because you get to make the world a better place by blocking content that should not be accessible online. It’s indeed a blessing to be part of a mission where you can help others and feel good about what you do. Besides, it makes you feel important and adds that undercover aspect of a cool agent at work!

As a Content Moderator you will be instrumental in keeping our online world appropriate and safe for people of all ages.

  • You will be required adhere to security measures, confidentiality, and other project requirements relevant to the work you will be performing.
  • You will apply a content policy to digital content and execute handling procedures with consistency.
  • You will actively participate in employee assistance programs, program reporting initiatives, and training intended to foster your well-being as well as the entire employee community.

In this role, you will be working on a computer each day reviewing content and scoring it based on defined guidelines and policies. You will be trained on these guidelines and policies, how to determine whether content violates them, and appropriate action to take with non-compliant content.

Role requirements

  • Review image and video content;
  • Apply a content policy to digital content and execute handling procedures with consistency;
  • Actively participate in employee assistance programs, program reporting initiatives, and wellness training to foster your own well-being;

Creating a Culture of Awareness and Prevention

Concentrix believes in being transparent with our employees about their job duties and the possible impact such duties may have on their well-being. This campaign includes disturbing content, especially focused on child exploitation and abuse.

Like every other occupation, even as a Content Moderator, it is important for you to know the potential risks related to this type of work. While Concentrix is focused on employee wellness by having counselors on-site, resiliency programming, and other wellness initiatives, exposure to graphic and disturbing content is inevitable and unavoidable in this role. Some individuals with a sensitivity to viewing graphic or disturbing content may be at risk for developing distress, mental health symptoms, or in rare instances, Secondary Traumatic Stress.

Concentrix devotes considerable resources to the wellbeing of its employees. As a Content Moderator, you will be required to participate in counseling sessions and a robust wellness program that includes:

  • 1:1 counselling sessions which are private and completely confidential; and
  • Ongoing wellness assessments to ensure you receive the support you need to maintain your health.
  • Group wellness sessions, to learn tools and techniques that will help you be successful;
  • Wellness coaching sessions, to ensure awareness of wellness resources and to ensure role adjustment;
