GENERAL SUMMARY:

Velvet Taco has 40+ restaurants across multiple states, with plans to open 40-50 more over the next 5 years. We are looking for a Content and Community Coordinator to join our Tribe and lead social media strategy while also supporting a broad range of marketing initiatives.

The Content and Community Coordinator, reporting directly to the Brand Manager, will work closely with other members of the Restaurant Support Office and Field Operations. Primary

responsibilities include social media strategy, brand content creation, community management, influencer strategy, local restaurant marketing and brand initiative implementation at the restaurant-level. The Content and Community Coordinator is responsible for acting as a brand guardian to ensure brand consistency across all spokes of the marketing wheel and strong communication within brand communities, including restaurant teams.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Social Media Content: Leads Velvet Taco’s social media content strategy across all platforms by capturing, editing, and planning static and video content that effectively communicates the Velvet Taco brand story while tying the brand to relevant online and cultural trends. Platforms include (but not limited to): Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter/ X and Threads.

Social Media Community Management: Develops and leads both proactive and reactive community management to maximize brand engagement within online communities across all social media platforms.

Restaurant Support: Collaborates with operations, including General Managers, and Managers on marketing initiatives and projects. Provides marketing support and solutions to local operations teams as needed.

Local Marketing Program Development: Assists in the development of local marketing programs that will be rolled out to the field. This includes developing program ideas, rollout materials and field communication to increase brand awareness and restaurant sales.

Influencer Strategy: Establishes and maintains relationships with key influencers, coordinates influencer visits with restaurants and manages influencer deliverables.

Brand Reputation & Guest Relations: Supports guest relations including the website’s “Contact Us” form, online reputation, and social media sentiment.

New Restaurant Openings: Collaborates in the development and implementation of New Restaurant Opening marketing plans including social media, PR, influencer outreach, events, signage, and design.

Menu: Supports menu launches, catering, and Weekly Taco Feature (WTF) program as needed.

General Duties: Assists with overall marketing department planning, strategy, and execution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• PR, media relations and influencer marketing experience preferred
• 1-3 years of Marketing experience required.
• Knowledge of general marketing concepts required.
• Social media experience is required, including the ability to create engaging static and video content.
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field required.
• 1+ years of restaurant experience preferred.
