Construction Project Manager Jobs

Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for managing personnel in all areas of construction and operations, maintaining all equipment while estimating costs of maintenance and repair to the equipment. This position is 100% travel based.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Management of all mechanical construction activities associated with Darling Ingredients or any of its subsidiaries.
• Troubleshoot existing equipment when efficiencies fall below standards at Darling Ingredients facilities.
• Responsible for the procurement, the supervision and safety of sub contractors hired to help in construction of facilities or buildings.
• Communicate and interface with upper management -General Managers, Plant Managers, and Productions Managers.
• Direct supervision to field mechanical coordinator and special projects coordinator and subcontracted millwrights.
• Responsible for the supervision and procurement of sub-contractors hired to help in the construction of processing facilities and buildings.
• Responsible for assisting in the start-up installed equipment.
• Responsible for the selection and procurement of mechanical equipment and supplies necessary for the construction to move forward in a timely manner.
• Responsible for the upkeep of Work with Vetco, a division of Petco, The Health + Wellness Company! We are searching for Relief Veterinarians in Sulphur Springs, TX who are passionate about pet parent education and providing exceptional health and wellness services for dogs and cats in the community. Relief Veterinarians have the ability to practice and treat pets the way they see fit, working together with a team of passionate partners to deliver the highest standards of care.
• Responsible for on-site job cost relating to construction and installation of capitol investment projects.
• Responsible for large scale equipment change-outs which include all necessary parts, equipment, labor scheduling and coordinating of tasks involved in the completion of the change-out in order to keep any downtime in the allotted time frame.
• Coordinate ongoing and upcoming jobs as to the amount of labor required to complete the job successfully and in a timely manner.
• Track progress on construction jobs weekly and develop a list of what has been completed and what is lacking completion for each ongoing job.
• Responsible for the supervision of Darling employees used to construct or install equipment.
• Responsible for the scheduling of all mechanical field personnel and dealing with issues that may arise.

Relief Shift Options Include

• VETCO VACCINATION CLINICS: Basic wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, and microchip insertion. No surgeries, emergencies, or illness care visits. Locations inside Petco stores and other retail locations.
• VETCO TOTAL CARE HOSPITALS: General practice hospitals delivering preventive care to diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries and dentals; hospitals equipped with digital dental x-ray, Butterfly IQ+ Vet ultrasound imaging, and on-site labs and X-ray. Licensed and trained hospital staff. No overnights or emergency on-call.

Requirements Include

• Appropriate state specific licensing to perform all shift functions
• Ability to provide Certification of Insurance (COI) + license defense
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
• Compliance with all local state and federal mandates
• DEA in good standing required for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital shifts
