Construction Manager - Multiple Locations

Our client, a leader in the renewables space, is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to help with the increasing pipeline of BESS and Solar projects.

The ideal candidate for this position will provide project management for planning, and organizing all aspects of the task related to the Solar+Storage projects. As part of this role, the manager will have to oversee the works of his peers acting as the point of contact to handle any issues regarding the project.

Responsibilities

• Reporting and tracking status reports
• Manage the construction of utility scale solar projects to the 3rd party EPC contract and permit requirements including schedule, budget, scope of work, deliverables,
• Proactively communicate and manage an ongoing punch list with 3rd party EPC Contractor; managing final punch list from Mechanical Completion to completion
• Prepare and manage the project execution plan, co-ordinate and host the project kick off meetings, and prepare and manage effective project close out.
• Oversee construction projects from construction to completion
• Cultivate positive working relationships with 3rd party EPC Contractors
• Cross functional coordination for logistics with vendors
• First line of defense against proposed change orders; escalating to internal Project Manager as necessary
• Onsite owner’s representative; monitoring of utility scale solar construction completed by 3rd party EPC Contractors
• Ensure quality and compliance with regulatory bodies

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of solar construction management processes, means and methods
• Leadership experience
• 5 years of onsite utility scale solar construction management
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field
• OSHA 30 Certified
• Willing to be on jobsite daily
