Construction Estimator Jobs

Superior Concrete Products is the leading in decorative precast concrete screen and sound walls, RECON retaining walls, and security screening in the power and energy sector.

The Junior Estimator’s primary responsibility is to prepare quantity take-offs, data input, checking RFQs for viable jobs to bid, and working to performing full estimates to turn over to the sales department.

Responsibilities

• Participate in estimate strategy planning.
• Proposal data entry.
• Aid in product research, subcontractor solicitations and scoping, and data entry.
• Participate in bid review processes.
• Performs quantity take-offs.
• Conduct business with 100% integrity and professionalism.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Attend client pre-bid meetings and job showings, visit job sites, and keep a record of all verbal information disseminated by the client during the pre-bid meeting and job showing.
• Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications
• Constant upkeep of CRM on projects worked on

Qualifications

• Familiar with reading civil and architectural construction drawings & blueprints. Also ability to decipher specifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in a construction related field or commensurate practical experience.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Ability to perform take-offs for the following work types: screen walls and fencing: precast concrete, masonry, structural, reinforcing, retaining walls
• Single scope estimating or related field construction experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, Bluebeam Revu, Auto Cad is a plus or similar.
• Strong organization and planning skills.
