Position Overview:

Summit Line Construction’s office in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking a self-motivated Assistant Project Manager with construction or similar experience. Project Managers are the Company's "management representative" responsible for the safe completion of their project within budget, on schedule, meeting the Company's quality standards, and meeting the Owner's satisfaction. It is their responsibility to initiate any action necessary to achieve the above objectives and ensure that all project activities are consistent with Company policy. Experience in the heavy construction industries is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Identifies and secures necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and/or schedule.
• Tracks schedule and budget progress with project milestones and takes all action necessary to keep project on track.
• Provides ongoing project information and project reviews as required by management.
• Coordinates training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed.
• Maintains ongoing communication with client, adjusting as necessary to comply with client's needs within contractual obligations, or adjusting project deliverables to meet the client and Summit Line Construction’s needs.
• Ensures scope of work, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and understood by senior management and all project participants, including client.
• Determines, controls, and maintains overall project and discipline schedules and budgets.
• Directly responsible to project manager/division manager.
• Maintains ongoing training and mentoring of project team.
• Responsible for managing and directing the project team by providing the communication, coordination, and follow-up necessary to meet the project goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

• Robust understanding of the Microsoft suite of programs; primarily excel and project.
• Ability to function as a team-builder/player.
• The ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment.
• Safety oriented.
• Must be willing to travel as needed.
• Heavy Construction background/experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Two to three years of previous experience.
• Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
