Job Description
Rapidly expanding Commercial Construction & Development company in Las Vegas and California is inviting interested candidates to interview for our Project Superintendent position. We are looking for an experienced leader committed to the overall success of the company who has a proven track record of delivering completed projects on time and within budget.   • Excellent project, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Must possess management level experience in construction estimating, scheduling, and budgeting of complex construction projects.
  • Fluent with Procore and project scheduling software.
  • Professional experience with all phases of project administration (pre-construction through close-out), including comprehensive knowledge and understanding of contracts, subcontracts, plans, specifications, permitting and inspections.
  • Integrity and discretion in handling confidential project information and in dealing with project colleagues and other professionals inside and outside the company.
  • A minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience in complex new construction, renovation, and interior buildout projects.
  • Ability to work effectively through complicated time and budget sensitive issues and possess the ability to manage multiple requirements on multiple projects, if necessary.
The Project Superintendent position coordinates all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel necessary to successfully deliver completed projects on time and within budget. This includes building and maintaining the highest quality work product while supervising all trades and field personnel. The Superintendent should be excellent at administering Forte’s Project Safety Plan and must work to engage in building effective working relationships. This position may require occasional travel. Project Superintendent Rolls and Responsibilities:
  • Always maintain required OSHA standards on the project jobsite.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite including construction office trailer.
  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants and vendors into critical path schedule.
  • Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
  • Ensure as-built drawings are consistently prepared by all trades throughout the course of construction.
  • Be the first person on site to ensure access, and the last to leave each day to adequately secure the project including stored materials and rented and owned equipment.
  • Prepare and monitor construction schedule, daily reports, safety inspections, and direct independent testing.
  • Perform quality control inspections. Document and monitor as necessary.
  • Preside over weekly subcontractor coordination and progress meetings.
  • Guide the project to its successful completion in compliance with the projects plans, specifications, and construction schedule.
  • Revise the construction schedule as necessary to reflect ongoing project progress, monitor and distribute weekly.
  • Ensure subcontractors are building in compliance with their contractual obligations including scope of work, quality of work, adequate use of labor and materials, and within agreed upon timelines.
  • Perform pre-construction and course of construction risk analysis to identify and bring to light issues that require timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Identify subcontractor scope-of-work gaps and work with the project manager to remedy identified issues/items.
  • Planning and implementation of the initial project set-up, site logistics and storage, and field coordination plans.
  • Coordinate building inspections, subcontractor inspections, and direct independent testing as required.
  • Prepare and monitor punch list activities.
  • Identify construction document and project site conflicts and communicate them with the Project Manager in a timely manner.
