The Role
In this role as a BAC compliance analyst, you will be making a valuable difference every day to our high-profile client organizations. The activities below can apply to qualified defined benefit and defined contribution plans, 403(b) plans and non-qualified plans:
- Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels
- Prepare and present quality deliverables to clients
- Deliver on projects to meet or exceed expectations
- Assist with plan administration interpretations and practice
- Coordinate communications, data flow and related work streams with various parties
- Provide core compliance services including government filings, testing and operational reviews
- Coordinate plan documentation efforts (design, drafting, amendments, restatements, SPD’s, SMM’s)
- Consult with clients on issues of plan qualification and fiduciary responsibility
- Contribute to the resolution of client plans’ regulatory issues
- Respond to queries from consultants and clients with respect to plan provisions and resolve/escalate any problems or issues
- Review and analyze clients’ qualified and non-qualified benefit plans
- Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
- Assist with compliance corrections
- Assist with plan establishment, mergers, spin-offs and/or terminations
- Assist in the tracking and interpretation of legal developments, both internally and with clients, on all aspects of the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, and other relevant laws as they affect employee benefit plans
- Deliver work in accordance with project deadlines
- Become a technical resource to clients and client teams
- Participate in leveraged teams that work effectively together
The Requirements
Proven experience and success in employee benefits/retirement consulting with a focus on compliance. Prior experience in a professional services firm or legal environment preferred;
Experience and success delivering compliance solutions to corporate and not-for-profit organizations (e.g., plan governance, compliance reviews, plan administration, plan documentation, testing). While 401(k), 403 (b), and DB plan knowledge is necessary, experience with H&W and executive benefits is an added plus
Knowledge of IRC, ERISA and other relevant laws and regulations affecting employee benefit plans
Experience in managing multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
Well-developed written and oral communication skills
Superior ability to work across all levels of an organization
Undergraduate degree required; JD strongly preferred
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, and performance in the role.
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $95,000 - $145,000. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
